I decided to go with a 50s theme for the dress and show a lot of skin to represent heat. The wig was originally my Moondancer wig. I stripped it of its purple highlight, then wefted in all of the gold highlights (which were originally white, dyed gold with Sharpie). I was going for a kind of Phoenix look with the costume, so I sewed/glued a bunch of feathers and other "bird nest" stuff into the wig. The dress was simple rectangular cutting. The fabric was originally solid red, but I wanted a gold shimmer. So, I hung the fabric on my fence and sprayed it down with adhesive. Then, I took gold glitter in my hand and just kind of threw it randomly at the fabric. XD The jewelry is all just random thrift store stuff I picked up except for the small red beads on my necklace, which were given to me by Saya.
