Info:
I used a 2 way stretch knit for the dress. I used a patten for an Ice skating dress and modified it to suit. For the Jacket I used a broadcloth. The jacket was lined and stuffed with batting. I really wanted to have actually elastic cuffs in the correct color for the jacket. I used athletic headbands for the waist and collar elastic cuffs. I cut them open and then turned them inside out then sewed them together. I was really happy about the way it turned out. Hikaruhime made the necklace and earrings, Kagz made the belts and compacts. I resin casted the rings and compact gems. I used white foam board and the knit fabric to make the sneaker covers. For the wrist and ankle puffy cuffs I made tube of whit knit and stuffed it with batting. I used a regular glove patten and cut the fingers off for the gloves. For the bow I cut out the shape of the bow(x2) in the red knit. I then cut out the same shape out of 1.5" foam. I sewed the knit pieces together and then turned inside out. I then stuffed the foam piece inside to keep the bow's shape. I hand stiched it closed the attached it to the wig. The wig started as a orange Tina. Using the FW ink dye method I dyed it slightly with brown to tone down the bright orange. I then wefted the hairline and stubbed the wig. Using the spare fibers and another cheap long wig(was dyed in the same way as the Tina wig) I attached the pony tail using caulk, thread and red duct tape. I also wefted more bangs in the front. For Blossom's giant yo yo I made a putty mold of a random glass jar(it was shaped perfectly) I used a regular store bought yo-yo for the base. For the first step I poured a layer of opaque white resin and let cure then I poured a layer of translucent red resin to fill the mold. I inserted one side of the yo-yo during the curing of the translucent layer. Once it was all cured I repeated the process of the other half of the yo-yo. This yo-yo can work even though it's very heavy:) I finshed off the yo-yo with paint a dye cut "P" and a few layers of glaze.
