My husband wanted to go to Blizzcon, I actually have no interest in Blizzard's games but agreed to go for a change in scenery. I knew I couldn't wear an anime cosplay (for fear of being shanked by an angry hoarde) so I decided to pick the most interesting Blizzard costume I could. Draenei's are purple space goats with snakey tentacles, goat hooves and purple or blue skin. There was literally no contest. This costume was a lot of trial and error, especially with the body paint. My whole body is primed with a white cake makeup and then sponged with a hand mixed purple liquid paint to reach the desired opaqueness. The horns and tail are made from a wire base and then formed with masking tape, stuffing and paper mache. All the jewelry on the horns are hand made. The bustier is made from a strapless bra base with accents made from fun foam. The hair tentacles are sculpy and wire painted the color of my skin. The gold plates on the skirt are made from fun foam and crystal elements. The hooves are a combination of clear acrylic heels, furniture foam, plastic netting, paper mache, mold maker and paint. In the costume I'm about 6'5.
