Character: Nabooru the Gerudo Queen
Series: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Premiered: A-Kon '07
Made By: Tsukiko
Status: Retired
Difficulty: *****
Cost: $120
Cons: A-Kon '07
Info:
Being half Middle Eastern AND a huge Zelda fan, I couldn't pass up the chance to do Nabooru. The pants and top are made of a silky pajama satin, the inside is lined in fuzziness. The shoes are an amazing thrift store find, they actually curl up at the toe and are made of gold leather. All the jewelry was made from some super light weight Crayola model foam, which I found out does not like to blend together. The giant jewel in the ponytail is made from pieces of thin acrylic cut out, painted with translucent red finger nail polish and then glued together to form a prism. The wig is cut and styled to pull back into a ponytail, which clips in the back. Most of the gold jewelry, like the chocker and gold armbands that I forgot in the car are made from different types of gold ribbon or rope sewn together. I also made the Saria costume. the boots were a thrift store find, spray painted green. The Link costume was borrowed (and waaay too short) except for the wig and hat.
